What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Trying a new salon for the first time can feel like a bit of a leap, especially if you do not know what to expect. Here is a simple walk-through of exactly how your first visit to Miss Beauty Salon works, from booking to leaving.

Before you arrive

Book your appointment online via Fresha, choosing whether you are seeing Sonia for hair or Madalina for nails. If you are booking a colour service for the first time, a patch test is required at least 48 hours beforehand — you can read more in our patch test guide. If anything is unclear, message us on WhatsApp and we will help you pick the right service.

When you arrive

We are at 29 Southgate Street, Gloucester GL1 1TP. Arrive a few minutes early so you have time to settle in — there is no need to rush straight from the door into the chair.

The consultation

Every appointment starts with a proper conversation about what you want, whether that is a new cut, a colour change, or a specific nail look. We will talk through what will suit you and what is realistic in one session, so there are no surprises partway through.

During your appointment

From there, relax and let Sonia or Madalina take care of the details. If at any point something does not feel right — too much pressure, an itch, a change of mind on colour — say so. It is far easier to adjust early than at the end.

Wrapping up

Before you leave, we will run through simple aftercare so your colour, cut or nails last as long as possible, and help you get your next appointment booked in if you want one. Payment is taken at the salon, and we would love it if you left us a Google review on your way out.
