Do You Take Walk-Ins? How Booking Works at Our Salon

One of the questions we get asked most is whether you can just pop in without an appointment. The short answer: yes, you are always welcome to call in — but booking ahead is the only way to guarantee a slot. Here is how it all works at our salon on Southgate Street in Gloucester.

Walk-ins: welcome when we are free

We are a small salon — Sonia looks after hair and Madalina looks after nails — so on busy days we are often fully booked. If you walk in and there happens to be a free slot, we will gladly fit you in. But if we are mid-appointment, you may have a wait, or we may need to offer you the next available time instead. If you are passing and want to chance it, you are always welcome to pop your head in and ask.

Same-day appointments: message us first

The smartest way to get a same-day appointment is to message us on WhatsApp before you set off. We can tell you straight away whether there is a gap that day and roughly what time — so you are not standing outside waiting, and we can have everything ready for you when you arrive. We are on WhatsApp messages only (no calls), and we reply as quickly as we can between clients.

Booking online: the guaranteed option

All our appointments can be booked online through Fresha, twenty-four hours a day. You can see exactly which times are free, pick your service, and get a confirmation and reminder automatically. It takes about a minute, and it means your slot is yours — no waiting, no uncertainty.

One important exception: colour services

If you are a new client wanting a colour service — tint, balayage, highlights — we cannot do this as a walk-in, even if we have space. A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any colour appointment. It only takes a minute and it is there to keep you safe. You can read more in our patch test guide. Cuts, blow dries and nail services have no such restriction.

We are at 29 Southgate Street, Gloucester GL1 1TP — a few minutes' walk from the Cross, Gloucester Quays and the bus station. Open Monday to Friday 9am–7pm, and weekends 9am–5pm.
